I bought my home in 2005 almost at the peak of the market and after 3 years in 2008 my wife and I decided to move to California to be closer to family. Unfortunately, the market tanked shortly thereafter and my property was quickly under water. After a few years of hanging on with tenants, the market looked like it was improving so in 2013 I began the process of listing my home. I interviewed three local realtors, one being Shelley and another popular realtor who boasted of very high volume sales (will not mention his name). I had a very good first impression of Shelley from her professionalism, knowledge, and her sincerity to want to help. I didn't feel like a sales pitch to get another listing. I trusted my instincts and selected her, but the market was not quite right yet so we delayed the listing. I told her I was having a difficult time managing the property so she referred me to a terrific property manager, Tom Haynes, who provided excellent service for two years. Shelley and I kept in touch until my last tenant moved out in December 2015. I promised her when I wanted to list, it would be with her and the time was right this time! After the tenant moved out, since I was in California, Shelley was my eye on the ground and made a lot of recommendations to get the house in the right shape. I trusted her at every step of the way. She helped find contractors (most of them she knew from prior work), coordinated with them, and inspected the finish work. Of course I would pay the contractors but what Shelley did helped tremendously given the fact I was 1200 miles away! There were also some things she did on her own or with her husband's assistance to help save me money because costs were getting high (such as fence repair, door repair, and light bulb replacements, etc.)...small things but they saved me several hundred dollars and very much appreciated. She made the process so easy for me and I trusted her completely. We jointly decided to wait until after the holidays to list the home. Once we did list, the house was so presentable and the marketing was executed so perfectly, that all it took was one weekend of open houses (3 days) before we received 4 offers! Three of the offers went over asking price and included other incentives (such as removal of inspection and appraisal contingencies). Thank you again Shelley for your superior service and helping me, I know you'll continue to do great in this industry (keep doing what you're doing). I gave Shelly 5 stars all around because she is simply the best! I highly recommend her for any real estate transaction, you will not be disappointed!

We bought this home in May 2015 and moved again for work in August 2015. We were upside down on the home and just hoping to get out of it. When we bought the home the market was on fire. It sold in 4 days to and there were bids coming in. 3 months later the story we were being told was the market was cold, no one wanted this house, wait till next year. Obviously something didn't add up but sure enough 6 months later the house was still sitting there and we had already moved to Texas. We were given Shelley's contact info from a professional referral and I decided to give her a call. We were pretty frustrated with the whole process and realtors telling us they could do things and then not coming through. After speaking with her we decided to give it a shot. She visited the home the next day, did a spot clean, and help an open house that weekend. She was not asked to clean or expected to do so and she didn't charge us a thing. She just did it to get the house sold. She marketed the house to realtors in the area and we had an offer in a few days. Full price. After the inspection there were some things the buyer wanted corrected. We had only lived there for 3 months and moved to Texas so we didn't even know where to start. Shelley coordinated 5 or 6 contractors and took the point on all of it. We didn't ask her to do so, again she did it because it was the right thing to do. We closed in 4 days and a few weeks later I got a package in the mail. It was a painting my daughter did that we had left in the house somewhere. She answers calls, returns calls and emails, and actually contacts you proactively. If you're new to this game it may sound like they all should do this. Trust me, they DON'T. This is a true professional

 

Shelley was the real estate agent for my brother when he purchased a town home a few years back. So when I started the process of looking into purchasing my first condo for myself I contacted Shelley right away. We reviewed options in my area and price range together and within a few days I found a HUD foreclosed condo that we went to check out. Being an as-is property the condo needed some work but once Shelley suggested replacing the flooring I was able to envision how amazing the condo could be with new floors & paint. The HUD purchasing process is different from a standard purchase with a bit more work for the buyer and realtor which Shelley explained to me. I decided to make an offer and was ecstatic when Shelley let me know it was accepted. She was available to me through the whole closing process and went out of her way to help me through the HUD purchasing process in any way she could whenever I needed her. I now own my first condo and have been able to turn it into the home I dreamed it could be. I could not be happier and will recommend Shelley to friends & family as well as using her for my own real estate needs in the future. With Shelley I feel I gained a realtor & a friend.
